A kind bloke who walks past my flat on the way to the gym most nights had a look round and found them tonight and brought both bins back to me! He said they were across the road outside the shut down for a few years youth club. The other week I saw some youths using bins to climb onto the old folks centre also across the road, so I'm assuming my bins were used by those youths to climb onto the youth club roof. I could get a lock and chain for my 3 bins, but the only thing I could chain them to is a plastic drain pipe which I suppose they'd just break if they wanted my bins again. Best to just leave it and hope it was a one of I'd say.🤔

You could just chain them all together to make it really, really awkward for anyone to move them, then the perps would likely take someone else's as being easier pickings ...

I put all the ingredients for a casserole in my slow cooker last night before going to visit a friend. When I got back four hours later my first thought as I opened the door was "I can't smell the food". I'd left the kettle plugged in instead of the slow cooker!

They're talking about a fire on Saddleworth Moor near Manchester, on a radio phone in I'm listening to. Someone has suggested it's happened due to the 'warm weather' today. Let me get this right! We've had months of it peeing down. Yesterday we had a sunny, dry day, but not exactly 'hot' enough to start grass fires!🧐

I know of at least one that would freeze without a jacket because it's a mongrel with very long but thin fur. If it gets wet it seems to shrink by 2/3.

Apparently the marshes at Parkgate on The Wirral heve been ablaze overnight, police suggesting started deliberately.

When I phone Calmac to make a ferry booking I have to listen to an interminable ramble about their alleged virtues and also get told to do bookings online. I cannot book online as their system does not recognise my blue badge nor my age concession card. The assumption is that local traffic is of no importance and only tourists will want to book as they book months ahead and block those who need to travel at short notice. The staff in the local offices are fed up with local people complaining but while sympathising can do nothing to help.
