People who give you their phone number in weird combinations, e.g. 071 9898 67 345

Everyone knows that it's: the code > first three digits > second three digits (London 4+4 after the code and major cities 3+4).

We're primed to remember it when it's this way. Any other combinations and you're an infuriating weirdo
Mobile, dialling code followed by the six digits split in three pairs(when given over a phone), for me.

People who give or write their phone number wrong if they’re in Reading. It changed years ago from 01793 xxxxxx to 0118 9xxxxxx but so many people still write/say 01189 xxxxxx.

Whenever I see numbers beginning 01 I'm put in mind of the new emergency services number on The IT Crowd..

I know someone who...shall we say...likes to be mildly, eccentrically 'different' just for the hell of it. So when I told him my landline number, lets say 0123 456789, he'd say back 'OK, got it, 01234 56789'. So I once gave him my postcode in an odd combination. Interestingly, he thought it was weird.

While out yesterday I saw this barber's prices. Am I naive in thinking this is quite a lot for a haircut?🤔 The last time I paid for a haircut was around 5 years ago, costing £5. I've heard that men pay £25 for haircuts in 26 miles away Manchester city centre.

4th one down, what the fark in an 'executive shave' for 25 quid? 🤔 No matter how close they can shave you, stubble appears within hours. 🧐

Is this the thread? I don't know. It's one like it anyway, so here's my current bemusement (I.e. it doesn't anger me!)

The way 'to be fair' is used by some people these days is baffling I find. What follows it can either be anything but fair, or have nothing to do with being fair or unfair. On the latter, maybe that's the point. It's an attempt to preempt criticism of any perceived negativity by saying something and labelling it 'fair'.

Do I blame football commentators/pundits? To be fair, I've just had porridge for breakfast.

Look. I'm not being funny, but at the end of the day, it's a strange one isn't it? To be fair, they gave 110%.
