Is it trivial when some @!€##!!! does this? That's my old junior school in the background by the way. They do stuff like this then complain about the council letting the area go downhill!! They are too thick to realise they are crapping up their own neighbourhood,not the council!

Crap cycling infrastructure

Stepped ramp on a signed cycle route crossing A1. Wheel guides so close to railings at side , you’d need a 2 dimensional bike to use them. No chance for loaded touring bikes, weaker riders, hand cycles, wheelchairs or even a parent with a pram. About as accessible as oxygen on Mars.

A smooth ramp would have been just perfect. Who the hell signed this off?

Just sent an email to Mayor of local council and relevant MP. Pointed out problems and asked them to go take a look and come up with a solution. Let’s see if it goes anywhere.

I don’t know if you do Twitter but, if so, look up a user called Heavy Metal Hand Cyclist (@crippledcyclist) who is adept at using FOI requests and equality legislation to get councils to provide proper accessibility for all on these types of route and may have some pointers for cutting through any smokescreens.
