anyway of detaching this part of the mudguard without taking the wheel off ?!? such an arkward place underneath lol

If you have a very short allen key you could try letting the tyre down which would give you another inch of space. Why not take the wheel out though. It is only a few seconds job and whilst out you could thoroughly clean the chain and seat stays and bits of frame normally fairly inaccessible.

thanx compo think i will have to remove the wheel good idea about cleaning it too.. :thumbsup:
my only worry is about putting it all backtogether again never done this sort of thing before but will b a good learning curve for me :smile: what do i need to clean the parts with? will pop out tomorrow n get what i need
