Been out and found the lake 2 minutes from the hotel sorted right next to a large tesco opens 6 am so all good here

Don't want a debate here but are you all wearing helmets with the weather looking good don't fancy having it n for 100 miles thought guys ????

I wear mine regardless of weather occasionally take it off on a long climb if its hot. Its just force of habit for me to wear it. Personal choice ,I notice on events where helmets are not compulsory that most wear them anyway.

. . . . . . . . it's now after 4am and I wouldn't mind some sleep ! I feel wrecked, 'cos I've had a mega-stressful evening dealing with teenagers. Party is still ongoing and I've no realistic chance of getting any sleep. At the moment, I'll do well just to drive to the ride, never mind cycle 100 miles.

I'm off now, for some black coffee . . . . . . . hopefully, I'll be able to make it to the start . . . a currently shattered pubby.
