Was this on a flattish route ???
Ive just read my post, what the hell am I on about ?Just drink other people's, Mark, you know it makes sense.
103 pubbers the extra 16 is erm flattish.
Stuff the training I'll just be support driver in the car
C'mon now, are there any 'nasty' hills . . . . . . like the Devil's Staircase ?
I'm not sure which bike to bring and I'd don't want to find out out at 70-80 miles that I should have brought low gears. That is, 'normal' low gears, not Doseone's uber-low gears.
Do you reckon that I'll be okay on 36 X 26 ?
What range of gears, will you other guys be using on the day ?

were you riding 36x26 on the llandovery ride ?
Both of my 'nice' road bikes have 34/50 up front and 12-27 on the back. The Winter bike has 30/39/53 and 11-28 on the back but is much heavier, so I will probably be on one of the compacts.
There is nothing as steep as the staircase they re just longer![]()
I will be riding my gasp, puff, oh s*** range of gears or I may be in 1st handing out drinks bottles and encouragement.
