Last night took some new roads and was really quite enjoyable. Although got a bit lost and landed up using satnav on phone to get back. Thank goodness I bought a decent set of lights and my yellow jacket. I'm not sure who was more suprised to see each other, me or the cows... 25 miles tho! Followed by some eggs at midnight...

so I wanted to post how I did following the event. Day 1 was 35 kilometres which I averaged 25 kph and day 2 was 100 kilometres which I averaged 22.36 kph and did in 4 hours 3o mins!

I am very pleased with the result coming from nowhere. In my training, I wore out my chain and cassette which was replaced three days before.

my knees are quite sore so giving them some rest.

thanks all for all your help getting me going with this. I hope to keep it up.
