I've just remembered that I also had a hang glider for my action man, that never worked properly either.

We got some novelty freebies from a telecomms conference. Nokia gave us two tins of sweeties, but joined by a string just like that. I can confirm, from experimentation in the office, that they do actually work. Nokia also included an "expansion kit", consisting of an additional single tin of sweeties with a string which you could tie onto the main string of the other two giving you a three way call

My mate had an action man who'd lost an arm in a parachute accident. True, not a joke, as the paratrooper outfit came with a parachute, and you chucked him in the air and he'd float down, but the parachute didn't
open properly if at all and his arm smashed off on landing
It was the Red Devil’s outfit iirc that had the parachute, I had one Action Man who was invalided out due to a daring jump from the bedroom window, his chute failed to open and he lost a leg

Not this exact one (think mine had a lot more bits in there), the stuff you got in there though, wow, hours and hours and hours of fun.
Yes! Totally! A mate of my dad gave me a load of old lab equipment too. I had a Bunsen, a still and all kinds of glassware.

Plus the Mamod traction engine and an Airfix slot car racing system (not compatible with Scalextric) but you could motorise some of the Airfix kits to run on it. I had a Ford Zodiac amongst others.

Never had Lego but had something called, I think, Minibrix which was naff and used rubber bricks. Meccano with a clockwork motor power unit.

I thought about saying “I only ever had a cardboard box” but I think someone beat me to it.

A bike, obv, with Sturmey Archer. Those were the days, eh?
