Jens punctured going into a turn and ended up in a bush - bloody lucky!

Jans Voight having trouble staying right side up.... but on the 2nd off, doing what I reckon most riders want to do... and tells the camera to "f*ck off". The guy's got class.

What do you think about Tommy V keeping the yellow jersey all the way to the ITT?

Doesn't look like any of the 'contenders' are willing to try close the gap.

Pity that Wiggins crashed out, it looks like he could have held his own without any real standout performers apart from TV this year. Or maybe some one's going to take the race by the scruff of the neck tomorrow. But I don't see it myself

Yeah, that was exactly the kind of climbing Wiggins would have loved. If Voeckler could stay with it...

That was truly the worst organised breakaway I have seen for a while too - if those guys had got it together they could have produced the winner, but instead it was like an amateur race.

F me, Voeckler could actually do this.

Not only is he riding well but the fact that there are so many real contenders all having to keep an eye on each other must play into his hands. Great stage and a great race with no stupid long time trials to pre-determine the pecking order before the mountains.

Voeckler did this in 2004 and then he cracked suddenly. He's not a great time trialist though is he. Contador looked more comfortable, Frank Schleck less good and Andy Schleck looked like he had more but was afraid to use it. This is an odd old tour so far.

Chapeau TV. I take my hat off to you... and eat it.

He and the team have worked themselves ragged in defence of yellow. Surely, it can't last???

He'll hang onto it again tomorrow I expect. It's a sprinter's stage. The only difficulty would be wind.

So I guess I wasn't the only one who was underwhelmed by today. I nearly fell asleep

Pierre Rolland has actually become one of my favourite riders.

Bertie must be very happy. More time for him to recover before the Alps.

Jens is just awesome, hope he does sign up to entertain us for another four years.

I reckon Voeckler will hang on to yellow tomorrow and then just lose out on Tuesday, but what a tenacious rider he is.

Apparently when Thor's mechanics looked at the data on his computer yesterday evening they saw he'd touched 112kph on that descent.

Whatever Thor had on his Weetabix yesterday, I'd like some too.

I think he's a fabul;ous and entertaining rider, but those were big old hills he was riding up.

I know he's fast descending (and I share one of his advantages) but he wasn't hanging about on the climb either...
