Just watched an interview with Hoogerland. The guy is clearly struggling with what happened to him (understandably) - both physically and mentally. I almost wished they'd stop talking about it.

Cav will be very annoyed with himself. He doesn't rate Greipel at all. But no doubt he will be magnanimous in his comments - he usually is when it's warranted despite his arrogant reputation.

Hoogerland's dad was absolutely furious after the stage on sunday, shouting that it was shameful and telling a crowd of journalists to bog off and leave him alone.

Flecha says he's never received an apology from the driver and was disappointed he never stopped, but just roared off. Got to agree with him frankly. Hope the police throw the book at him.

I refer you to Flecha's comments on Voekler, linked to in another thread.

What a load of old Cods... Sour grapes and typical of Sky they re even beginning to sound like "Murdock".

The group actually slowed down after the accident and Voeckler went back to the car for instructions were you not watching ?

and as for the sarcastic hand clap from Flecha as the bunch caught him well !

He had some bad luck and I feel for him and Hoogerland, but dont tell me they would have acted any different had the shoe been on the other foot.

were you not watching ?

I'm not quite sure who you're addressing your remarks to but I referred you to Flecha's comments not for what I thought but for what HE thought.

Only a handful of Brits have come even close to making an impact in the Tour de France. We now have the most successful of them all and people are queuing up to knock him. Why?

We get the sportsmen we deserve in this country, jokes like Eddie The Eagle and grinning losers like Frank Bruno.

Because he's British i don't have to like him.I was pleased for Greipel because of Cavendish's remark that he only wins shoot races.I have cheered on Sean Yates,Malcolm Elliott,Joey Mcloughlin also Roche and Kelly.Mind you Paul Sherwens commentry can bring me to tears.
