There are some riders who seem to crash a to more than others
but when you look at each individual crash it was never there fault and unpredictable and they didn;t make any kind of mistake
but then a few weeks later they crash again

Errr - I could be wrong
but since the weight limit isn;t it true that all the bikes weight the same - within a gramme or so

so all in all it sounds like someone looking for an excuse to me

Well I never, a difference of 1 kg between heaviest and lightest, that is around 15% - quite a bit !

and our friend in question, Monsieur G Martin weighs 55 kg!

6.8kg is the minimum but with aero frames being developed which can require a tad more material here and there, the world has moved on from having weight weenie climbing bikes all sat at 6,8kg as the aero advantage out weighs (pun intended) the extra grammes.

Fair enough - think I heard it on the commentry one day a while ago

maybe things have changed or maybe they were wrongish

And me. I thought that the weight limit was keeping all the pro bike weights higher than they actually need to be but apparently that is only for dedicated climbing bikes. I had expected that all pro bikes would be made heavier to be bang on the limit!

I've always had a soft spot for Cofidis as they tend to be a home for honest Frenchman who try their best but never quite succeed. Whereas FDJ on the other hand ...
