Pog was clearly a bit shell-shocked. Given he said he 'felt good' and that Vinegaard was just better, it doesn't bode well for his remaining challenge this year. Pog has to find something truly special now - which, he might. Or, Jumbo Visma could end his challenge tomorrow....

Mads is doing ok I think - I've never seen him as being as fast as the super-sprinters like Jasper, Fabio, Cav etc

Vinegaard needs to ease off a little bit or the skeptics among us might just start to wonder why he's that much better than everyone else in the peloton.

Day 5 and it's over....nah time to have a rethink.Chapeau Jai Hindley deserved that,Bora rode a perfect stage, but WTF were the rest thinking letting him go ? To far to go in this race to write anyone off,Pog isnt going to give it up without a fight, hope he'll get stronger as this Tour goes on.

Aye, we don't know what today's effort cost Vinegaard either; whether he can sustain those attacks.

Jai Hindley rode the perfect race today for sure but I can't see him winning just yet - Bora as a team aren't as strong as JV and today he was gifted a break.

UAE were caught out by the strength in that breakaway.

Now we'll see how JV react to having to defend their lead from UAE though and it's sure to provide Pog fireworks!

Deserved the stage and the leaders Jersey, he's a quality rider. But agree that Bora are under pressure now to defend the jersey.
Jai Hindley : "Personally, I have been preparing for this Tour since May, with recognition of numerous stages and then a four-week altitude training course. I lived like a monk for two months, with only a suitcase and without seeing my family."

I doubt Jumbo Visma will let Jai Hindley take advantage of their tactics again..............

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don't forget that Pog is coming back after his injury. I can only see him getting better as he gets the race miles in.
Vingo has been flying for weeks now so he's going to fade a bit.
It's not over yet.

Things that are guaranteed in the first week of the Tour...
1 It's boring all these sprint stages.
2 He must be on the gear riding like that...although he's not even in Yellow !
3 After the fist GC day....its over he's won it.

Plenty of time for anyone to blow up,have a bad day, don't like to say it but crash, illness.
It's far from a done deal

Back to todays stage and Pidders ! There going to let him go in a break aren't they, everyone wants to see him descend like a demon and he's no real GC threat is he 🙄
Nothing to do wit me having him at 33/1
