Today, I cycled up a 1/10 gradient hill and unzipped my jersey to cool me down.

On the way down, amidst a lot of traffic, a wasp flew down my jersey and stinged my belly, and I tried flapping my jersey to get rid of it whilst having fantasies that it might be a genetically modified wasp that could sting me to death if it was kept in close confines. I finally skidded into a side road and threw my jersey on the floor.

Half an hour later I skidded on a bit of broken cycle path and went over the handle bars. I managed to roll but my left middle finger took the brunt of the fall. I cycled home without being able to use my rear brake, but I consoled myself that I was analagous to a WWII bomber pilot making it home on one engine.
