It doesn't matter how strong or otherwise the finalists are, they'll soon be forgotten just like last years and the those from the year before - Ben Wells was playing at a local hotel tonight, not very "popstar" really.

And as much as I'd love to trade the wife in for Rebecca, she's still a bit "Norah Jones Lite."

During the last 4 years i have predicted that Shane Ward, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Olly Murs would win, from the moment they stepped in the auditions. The only one i was wrong on was Olly who came 2nd.

I swore that this year, if i spotted a 'winner', i would put a bet on for the person to come in the top 3 and hopefully, because it was an early prediction, rake it in.

So me and mates sat down during the auditions and my predictions were :

Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle

But then i got cold feet and decided i'd jinx it if i put the bet on, so i didn't.

Damn. looks like at least one of them will get in top 3 if not both.

Until now I've thought all these threads were some weird German composer reference.
