I'm not sure that my reply that I'd rather spend my time slamming my genitalia in the kitchen cupboards was as diplomatic as it could have been though.

Nor is it very intelligent, I mean, aside from the injuries, you can do that any time, you don't exclusively have to do it when the Missus is on a cruise! :giggle:

I've been on several cruises to exotic palm fringed islands on this magnificent machine (the one in the foreground, obviously being the superior vessel).

TBH, I do quite like the Cunarders, even if they are nowhere near as nice as the QE2.. At least you can tell them apart. Unlike all those abc of the Seas, or xyz Princess, all of which look the same.

If you get bored with all the on-board Waverley entertainment (aka the bloke in the bar with an accordion), you can always go and watch (and smell!) the engines in operation:

Not sure where this is, (Helensburgh? @Mad Doug Biker ) but another exotic Clyde destination, and a fine photo of the Waverley....

Ah yes, the legend that is Waverley, the last oceangoing paddle steamer. I have been on that many a time, and yes, I think that is Helensburgh.

Personally, I can't wait to see The Maid Of The Loch sailing on Loch Lomond again, but they still have a bit to go yet!
Finding a new maid might be a bit difficult.
They have to get a new boiler (it is oil burning), but they have been awarded over a million and they have about that left to raise (they had £3 million to raise).

Will it make money?? Well, they will make a good go of it, but the facilities at Balloch where it is based need to be improved somewhat.

I quite fancy one of those new Gerald Ford class carriers. Makes the Nimitz class seem a bit effeminate.
