Ti's. Fine, fine day.
Up with the lark and breakfasted already.
Probably means a snooze, followed by chores at home.

Morning

Slept well after the little football game on the telly radio 5 live.
Brighter today but still lots of soggiress lingering. Will wait for things to dry out a little and then go pedal. Which means time for extra coffee.
The DW's are off tomorrow and Monday. Such fun.

Enjoying the free coffee in the office and thinking how this proves the old saying that you get what you pay for.

Early start for the hybrid communt into the office, but it doesn't matter as today is most people's Friday. And the forecast for the long weekend is looking good apart from Monday, so a bit of riding will be done.

Nice relaxing commute - definitely Friday-feeling.
Had to go on a work-related emergency dash into That There London yesterday and managed to lose my iPad off the roof of the car in my haste to get going. (Should've taken the bike, I know...) Tracked it from Billericay to Ipswich then collected it in Rochford in the evening from the super-sleuth who found me via 3 notifications on the locked screen. Benefit of having an obscure surname ^_^

Faith in human nature restored.
'tis a lovely morning.

A slow start this morning which has scuppered my plans for a long ride. Might go out this afternoon though. Looks nice out.

Old shrubs and herbs ripped out of large containers. Old compost bagged up. Off to the tip shortly.
Quick caffeine hit first.
Best don the old Hernia Belt again. T'is an itchy bugger though.
Stop of at Pharma for more drugs. I've actually run out of one I need. Have such a big stock at home I really thought I had that one in stock.
Gotta arrange post for faulty outdoor cam return under warranty
Waiting for Amazon delivery for small clamps for model boat restoration.
Waiting for DPD for Fender Bass Amp delivery.
Might have a beer tonight in preparation for Most Excellent Friday

Re post title..... My father was a Greek Mythology nut. As kids, my sister and my bedtime stories consisted of tales of Greek Gods, Mythical Beasts, Monsters and best of all "stories of when he was a kid".... These were the scariest and most awe inspiring of all. Especially the one of when he and his pals came across a dead tramp that had hanged himself from a tree and one of them got kicked in the neck by the dead man's boots as he hung there. Also the one of when they ripped the neighbours little boy's behind to shreds by using the push along lawn mower as a chariot. He and his twin brother were the horses pulling on the T Bar. Unfortunately they pulled it the wrong way against the ratchet so the bladed cyclinder spun up, cutting the wee lad.

Been shopping via a few bridges to see the state of play of the main river (impressive), done some Lidling (why do they not understand unsweetened muesli in France?), salad/bread/hummus lunch, then maybe a bit of Moustaching this afternoon if the rain stays away.

The sun is back. Yay! Finally got the greenhouse autovent mechs reconnected, bleepin' heavy triple vents with 2 auto mechs per, not simple. Disconnected everything back in the storm Eowyn times. But warmth is returning... please keep coming.

More own garden fettling this pm. 'tis the season to be... busy.

Chuffed as agreed a date for Rebellion way as a foursome, then found out the advance train tickets to London were already on sale and got very reasonable 1st class returns and 4 bikes booked each way - result!
Just have to wait for the London to Norwich tickets to become available ....
