Those moments that remind you what's so special about being a dad

Apparently when I was at school and was asked what my Dad did I told them "he just sits around in a chair all day doing nothing".

They were dying to know what he did and when Parents evening arrived they duly asked.. and got told he was studying for his Masters Degree.

Seemed like doing nothing to me at the time, just reading stuff.

My two say the funniest things but I can't think of them at the moment.

When my youngest was starting to talk he was still a toddler (obviously) and having a bottle of milk before he went to bed. I gave him his bottle one day and he gave it back and said "Dad, it's 'Date Off', you drink it." ('out of date', but I think his version is better!!!!).
