Thorntons or Hotel du Chocolat ?

My daughter kept buying me HC chocolate & I can't say I was impressed. Thorntons make theirs too sweet for me. I tend to buy M&S Swiss bars.

Thorntons have been pushed down the rankings by several chocolates makers.

I bow to your knowledge and experience and say 'Thorntons was the best chocolate IMO'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends if you want serious adult sweets or something for the whole family.
Hotel de Chocolate can sometimes be a bit too up their own posterior, whilst Thorntons is a bit bargain basement.

Mr K likes the Alpini from Thorntons . He's been on a diet so he's only getting one bar. Normally he would also be getting a giant Toblerone. My favourite is the Green and Black's ginger chocolate. My family usually get me liquorice allsorts.

I just remembered, I once made truffles myself, trivial and delightful. I think this is the recipe. Just have to get some good, dark chocolate.

It's not fine chocolate, but I can't resist a Cherry Ripe when I visit Australia. Dark chocolate, glace cherries and coconut. Nothing like it in the UK.
