Saw something similar outside the (now former) swimming baths at Ripon. A coach had stopped to drop off school kids blocking a row of parking spaces. One car reversed at least twice into the side of the coach

@Drago is just jealous, since the Soviet Union packed it in he hasn’t been able to get parts for his Moskvitch and its ticking him off.

Given the current situation - what with Russia blaming us for everything

if he has a Moskvitch and it is ticking I think he ought to tell one of his old colleagues

a. what is a mos$whatever
b. I know that is not what was said - but it is funnier this way

and an addendum - when I say funnier - I don;t necessarily mean funny!)

A Moskvitch is a worse car than a Dacia... by just about any measure and by a large amount...

And if you ever had one of the old communist era Dacias that is really saying something.

Naw... the Lada was better than either of these rolling turds.

And would likely be tough enough to beat up a bus if required.

My grandparents had a Lada in late 80s. It was their first ever new car, having had second hand cars all their lives, and they were very proud of it.
it was powerful enough to pull their small caravan and built like a tank.
being a cool teenager in the 80s i was very embarrassed by it.

I remember my Sister telling us that her English teacher has got a new car.
The conversation in class went something like

'Sir, we hear you have a new car... Is it a Lada?'

Teacher: No

'It is, in't it sir?'

Teacher: No

'It looks like a Lada, we've seen it... It is a Lada, isn't it?'

Teacher: Any more of this and I'll give you a 'Punny'.

... 'It's ok sir, you can tell us, we'll understand...'
