And all amateur level riders who don't pack tight, like a 200 peloton does in pro races, or 100 in quality amateur events. No comparison, gravel racing is more like CX which allows discs anyway.

Bigger brakes = more friction = more stopping power Is where I assume your thinking was.

It sort of is, but not on a simplistic "bigger pad equals more friction" level - it isn't that straightforward, as I guess you know.
