I think I need compression socks. I need to get the swelling in my right leg down. Did you buy off the shelf or get some specially made?
I found some travel socks in Sainsburys and then the same ones again later in Morrisons. They only offer a moderate degree of compression but it seems to be enough for me.

I remember how difficult it was for my mum to get proper support stockings on and off. One of her carers punched herself in the face when her hand slipped when trying to help my mum do it!

One nurse in hospital showed me a trick to getting them on when I had to wear them (after my femur operations)
Put the packet over your foot then get the compression sock on (it slides easier) then pull the packet out of the toe hole. I modified this when I got home by using plenty of talc on my foot and a plastic bag.

Clever idea!

And I did that to myself once when trying to take off a tight arm warmer! ^_^

Stop. Bullying. Me.

It won't work, and I'm not going to put up with it much longer. If you don't back off, you will regret it.

So it's been a hot day and you've spent almost all of it sitting on the front step swigging beer? Good for you, but why do you think it's acceptable to shout down the street at 10.30pm to your brain-dead friends and keep the rest of us, many of whom go to work to pay your unemployment benefit, awake????

Yes, that is fine, absolutely excellent, well done!

You obviously think you are capable of organising anything and everything so brilliantly, and that you know so much about anything and everything that there is to know about everybody and everything.

Admittedly I think your knowledge of particle physics and neutrino oscillation might be a bit patchy.

I nearly, so nearly, forgot to add that your mind reading skills are sensational and your memory is astonishing.

Therefore I hereby state in writing that you will receive no further assistance from me, under any circumstances whatsoever. You obviously have such outstanding skills that you do not need my advice, or practical support.

Sadly I am not the first person who has reached this conclusion.

When you find yourself out of your depth and surrounded by aligators, please do not call me!

Your dress looked awful, you are an ugly female with an impressive moustache. I would like to think you are confident but in reality you are self deluded, you are not popular, all your so called friends on facebook only agreed to your friend request so that they can laugh at you.
