"Sticky Back Plastic" in the context of the 'Blue Peter' TV programme was referring to Sellotape."

They weren't allowed to use the word sellotape. Seen as promoting a particular brand.

Sellotape was referred to as sticky tape.

SBP was fablon.. This is important stuff to get right

BTW did anyone, ever manage to cover anything with it, without at least one air bubble arising??

Why's the person in charge of a university a vice chancellor and not a chancellor?

On account of all their vices obv..

I don't understand how my mum always used her front porch as a fridge (it was poorly insulated so was only a couple degrees warmer than outside). Worst thing was, she would often leave cooked rice out there, especially rice salads at christmas etc. And no-one ever got food poisoning.

I suspect that the temperature of your porch at the end of December would have been about 4 degrees.

We're obviously from different generations - I think they make them look like navvies

There's just a slight, possibility that they're not too bothered what you think about it, either way??

I'm from the generation that didn't commonly have tattoos either, and have none myself.

However, my kids do.

Their bodies, their choice, in my eyes.

It would appear "shock horror" that the following generations, have slightly different ideas to us about notions of what is, or isn't attractive.

I must admit I find tattoos a bit of a turn off too, as well as muscular women

But that's just me. Others find it extremely attractive

And as already said, I doubt they care either way
