Why can Calmac not get a passenger lift which works on MV Isle of Mull? It constantly and randomly is out of action. They get a lift engineer to fix it and it stops again in a week or so. It runs from the car deck to the upper decks and is for disabled passengers only tho' misused by lazy dog owners who cannot possibly be parted from their precious which cannot climb stairs.

Why does Cherry Blossom shoe polish show cherry fruit on their tins?

Possibly due to the fact the logo was already in use by the then Chiswick Soap Company, who launched the shoe polish in 1906*. The name was supposedly chosen because Chiswick House, where one of the company founder's lived at the time was famous for its cherry blossom.

When participating in the 1908 Franco-British Exhibition at the White City, above the Company's stand there was a large electric clock which served as a focal meeting point allowing visitors to 'meet under the "Cherry Blossom clock'. "

*1903 is another year given for when it was launched

So, they’ve had over a hundred years to put it right. I can feel a stiff letter coming on, possibly quoting the trades description act.
The cherry fruit is the logo(Chiswick Soap Company), Cherry Blossom the name of their polish range.

For the last four days, I shared a shower with a small corner-mounted wire tray that's supposed to contain the stuff you need while showering.....soap, shampoo, razor etc. Can somebody tell me why the gaps in the tray are large enough for soap, razor and small bottles of shampoo to fall right out of the bottom? Am I missing something? The tray certainly is.

One of them has been there since at least 1991. It seems to be his vocation.

PS I haven't been in the same pub as him for years but he used to drink Stella Artois all night and pay for it in small change.
