How does the thief know it is un-nickable? If it is not visibly locked you will have the hassle of having to wait for it to be replaced/retrieved after someblokes have either threw it in the back of the van or knackered the locking mechanism and then tossed it in the canal when it wouldn't work.

I'm not overly fussed by its looks tbh, I quite like the quirky top tube but the (minor) problem with that level of lighting is that it limits front and rear luggage options or requires a 2nd set of lights (*)if you happen to use a barbag or racktop bag that obscures the fitted ones.

For genuine ease of use the inbuilt lights would benefit from being dynamo powered.

(*) yes I know you should anyway but if they're inbuilt then they should be in such a position as to be universally usable.

I'm not sure I would want to nick that bike. That top tube is hideous.

As posted above it is a concept from the 80s

It allows a front and rear light to be integrated into the frame
Batteries and wiring are then weatherproof

Some used batteries, some used hub dynamos, or rim dynamos .... All specced at point of sale

Another company failing to realise the frailty of GPS....Imagine that bike ending up in a tower block/ block of flats ?

Really needs an RF capability...anyway its too damned ugly to get nicked, they wont get GPS into an alu ,steel or carbon frame as it simply wont communicate and no major manufacturer would support a company trying to do so as it would compromise the frame in most instances.

The whole concept seems a bit feeble. It's a not very good, over-technological exercise in closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

I like the concept of a frame with integrated power and electronics (provided it's not done in a hideously ugly manner) - but if you don't want your bike nicked, you lock it up somewhere safe.

And if they can't find it, they'll give you a replacement. Sounds like a decent deal.

Er. It comes with a chain integrated into the frame, so you can lock it to something immovable.

Yes, looks like a neat design for 2 secs but a daft idea for all sorts of reasons.
