And yet it was also the warmest Christmas day on record in the UK (that is the highest minimum, in parts of Devon & Kent).

Seems crazy in a country the size of the UK, it can be snowing in some parts, while not getting below 12.5C in other parts.

Didn't need any heating today, it was that mild. House is sitting comfortably at 19C

It is a bit cooler today (about 6 C) but not too bad for Boxing Day. A chilly breeze is blowing from the west, but we have had some nice sunshine for the past few hours.

I am waiting for a family Zoom call to start, but after that I hope to nip out on the bike for a quick ride before sunset.

Yes - I saw a very optimistic forecast suggesting that we can expect a big reduction in depressing gloominess over the next 6 months!

Yes, think I’m holed up for the rest of the year. Still need to get 2 miles done to nudge up to 5000 miles for the year. It might need to be something glamorous and intrepid like a supermarket run!

Mild, breezy, drizzly. It's the gloom that gets to me though... At 1 pm my kitchen was so dark that I couldn't see well enough to make a pot of coffee without turning the kitchen lights on!
