Quite autumnal today. So much so that I donned trousers for the first time since April. Ok,they weren't real trousers as they're called 'chinos',but still I had to cover my legs,so yes i'd say autumn is here. Yet in two weeks time we could be experiencing our usual 'Indian summer' so it's not all over yet!

SE Lakes - cold, grey and non-stop drizzle all morning although we are now having a short break from the drizzle and just have a murky grey sky to deal with.

Been walking in the rain all morning, have now lit a fire and we will be chilling out in front of it once we have got out of our wet clothes and showered etc.

We still love the Lake District in spite of the weather which, at times, is pretty awful.

Looking at tomorrows forecast, I've got winds of 20mph and gusts of over 40 after 12. I shall survey the weather on tomorrows morning dog walk and decide then if I'm taking the bike out as per schedule.

SE Lake District:

Sunny start (there's a novelty) with heavy rain due in around noon.

Bright but very windy, too windy for comfort on the bike, it's forecast to be gusting 40mph in an hour and I would still be out then, so I'm going to deploy the turbo for the first time since April.

Sunny and not too bad at the moment but warnings that all ferries probably cancelled due to high wind forecast. Went out to dig some tatties and the rain came on and I got soaked then it stopped as soon as I got back indoors.
