Quite blustery, & squally showers on the ride home. at 22:00
It was a mixture of tail-wind & side-wind, dependant on the particular road

When I turned the lap-top on, my 'desktop' summed the ride home up..

Started the day with hail, joined shortly afterwards with thunder and lightening. Maybe they were right about the snow after all.

In good old Wigan Its blowing a serious gale as we speak. Forecast for later is sunny ish but the winds are still there. Im going out for a spin regardless.

The snow was a no show.

A light snow cover when I woke but this melted in the rain later. When the rain cleared up i set off on the bike to a beach undergoing a clean-up. Filled two old panniers with plastic drinks bottles washed up on the tide and a few alu cans and set off home for lunch. In the afternoon went for a leisure spin on the bike and came upon a fly tipping incident. It had been a pine framed bed, the wood was too good to go to a skip so when I got home, instead of sending in an online fly tipping report to the Council I set out in my car to recover the timber. i don't now what I'll use it for but I'll find a use.
Warmer weather forecast for tomorrow, peaking at 5 C.

Highly unusual weather event in Ayrshire today!

I wish I was over on Arran (the snow capped island in the background) today, with the bike. Sadly I'm working . Off Sunday and Monday, which look ok ish..
