Looks like a 20 minute rain for my ride to work (I’m measuring rain in the time it’ll take for my feet to be sodden. It’s therefore relative measurement e.g. on the commuter bike with mudguards its double the race bike without.)

I was almost correct. Deluvian rainfall bit also lots of standing and flowing water, warning signs out at one spot in Walsden. Left foot wet all around after 18:14 followed by the tight shortly after. Wind was blowing right to left on average hence the difference. Shoes went on to become soggy puddles. Fortunately the dryer at work was free and the heating is keen so lit nearly all dried out for return journey tomorrow, in the dry I hope!

Quite heavy rain on and off yesterday, but i must be getting immune to it. i live in a wet weather area. Apparently cotton mills were set up here as the damp climate favoured cotton production. I hear folk moan about the rain, but i don't think it's got worse over the years. I'm happy to see the leaves being blown off the trees,by the way. I now have daylight in my kitchen for the first time since April!

Sunny but cold early doors after an overnight frost, with a brisk north-westerly breeze. But it clouded over at lunchtime, and it's been raining on and off since. All in all, a pretty grim day.

You know it's not nice out when the cats don't want to go out. Poppy is in her igloo bed by the radiator in the dining room, and Lexi is, as she is wont to do, stretched out alongside the same radiator.
