Ironically the Morrisons fuel station has signs on their pumps saying something like 'Disability friendly. Please ask if you need help', but that's for filling your tank, not your tyres I presume.

It's the point where you body cannot deliver on promises your brain has made.

The other one is standing in front of the open fridge wondering why you have your slippers in you hand.

And. Who on earth put the ink jet printer in the oven?
Yes, it did happen. Still think it was my wife.

I have outlived my father (52) and both my grandfathers 48 & 70.
One was badly injured in Gallipoli and the other volunteered at 15 and got sent to the Somme

I am about 15 years older than when my dad started using one walking stick, 10 years older than him using two, 5 years older than him struggling to walk even with two sticks, and pretty much the age when he could barely walk at all.
I passed the minimum age of my late father being old enough to be my biological father about 5 years ago. Then he was 13 years older than me, but now he's only 9 years older. If I make it to 69 years 9 months, in 8 years 2 months time I'll be older than my dad!

I've outlived my Father by a number of years, he was 48 when he died I'm now 70, the thing that struck me was that he was physically older at 48 than I am at 70.

I do that - a LOT. Yesterday's beauty - filling up the dishwasher and emptying the cups and glasses into the sink first.

Pick up cup, throw contents into sink, put in dishwasher, repeat.

As I'm doing this, I'm looking at the pile of clothes out of the tumble dryer that need folding and in front of my own disbelieving eyes -

Pick up cup, throw contents over clothes, put in dishwasher

Or you make the same noises that your grandad used to make, when you stand up...."ooochya!"

You don't become a member of the old fart's club for nothing you know

I'm 62, that's 2 years older than my father was when he retired, I can't see chance of retiring in my future, he went onto live until he was 97 so I may have 35 years left in front of me, but I somehow doubt it.
