Watching the live updates to the competitors arriving at the first checkpoint, I realised that it's an illustration of a classic bell curve. Don't know why it never occurred to me before as it's so obvious 🤔
Meanwhile, Mr Garmin has suggested that I head out for a ten mile run 😮

Plan is see eldest off then head out and meet up club for Saturday social ride. With obligatory cafe stop.

Later will be beer and rugby.

Best mate's coming round at 10am and we will be working on his Bantam today.
I've got a chap coming round this afternoon to (hopefully) buy the Bantam I put up for sale yesterday. He sounds serious and is coming from Cardiff. Fingers crossed.

Today will be another pottering day in my workroom and I might do some more tidying of stuff. I have some stuff that I have never used. I should get rid of it to free up some space.

Good Morning. To my surprise it's overcast here but deliciously cool, you know what I mean......I hope. Paul is dashing in and out for ten minutes with his coffee. We're going to the Lakes today for a wedding. an overnight stay and some gentle walking.

I've taken part more than a dozen times over the years. Occasionaly when out on a run I start to wonder if I could still run a marathon, after a few miles I realise that although I still have the mental strength and determination, the legs have other ideas. I too will be watching. A word of advice in case any of us forumites are running tomorrow, if you get to six miles and can still see the Kenyans then you're probably going too fast...

I see Alex Yee the triathlete is running. Be interesting to see how he does. Also Eilish McColgan who always looks so fragile to me. Hope she makes it.

there can be a significant time delay between the two!

anyway - the Pope's funeral is on the telly
Trump doesn;t seem to understand
and Melania is looking much older

and why is trump wearing a blue suit when everyone else is in black?

He did seem to be a decent Pope - and a decent person overall - so sad he has gone

not sure what the plans are for today - nothing we need to be doing but I am sure the grand kids will turn up at some point over the weekend as there are 6 chocolate eggs here for them

I have been feeling very stiff (in my legs - stop it you pot!!!) for the last few days
might try going for a walk instead of a ride and see if that helps

Good morning. I would have been here earlier but I had to plough through a few pages to catch up.
Overcast today, sunny tomorrow. I am currently tracking daughter's chap who's taking part in the " Devil of the Highlands " race. 06:00 start and he's just gone through the first checkpoint, next stop Glencoe ski centre. Mrs Tkk and I walked the route several years ago, as we were nearing Glencoe I remarked on the majestic eagles soaring in the distance, the Eagles turned out to be Hang Gliders and she's never let me live it down 😁

These things can be harder tell apart than some folk think.

Well I have been robbed.
Up at 5.30, listened to SoTS then back to bed for 2 hours. While there I went to the pub, bought a pint and paid with a 20 pound note.
They gave me my change as 20 tea bags, a fiver and a load of change.
Just woke up and can't find it !!!!
Should I call the police ?

Still gloomy and dismal out so hopped on the Wattbike and did a short ride on Fulgaz. Lovely cycle paths and quiet roads in Holland. I would definitely get out more living there! Great infrastructure and not a pothole in sight. The only frustrating thing was that the guy who had filmed it was with his wife/partner and when they were talking I obviously couldn’t understand what they were saying
