You certainly have an interesting family. I, for one, enjoy your daily exploits.

Thanks

I do miss out some of the more personal stuff!

Anyway - it is our Wedding Anniversary today

First time I have forgotten to get her a card
and, in 8 years, about the 3rd time she has remembered at all - so I should get away with it
we have bought each other presents
but mine hasn;t arrived yet!!

Shopping needed soon - we are running out of a few things due to the extended closing times over Easter
WHich is weird considering it was only one day
and we used to manage just fine when everything was closed every Sunday!!
(except newsagents so you could buy porno mags but not Bibles - apparently!!)

I see the Boston marathon is on telly later, but yet another thing that’s on TNT sports  I can see me stumping up for it before long even although it’s daylight robbery.

I have sky sports but when Discovery+ stopped sports coverage for Ireland about 6 weeks ago I took sky sports extra ( TNT is part of it ) got 6 months introductory offer of additional 10 euro a month , currently paying 102 euro per month and will rise to about 130 after 6 months. I will ditch Sky then as its daylight robbery and try NOW tv ( also sky owned I believe) sky is daylight robbery in Ireland , dont know about UK

Well, I have just had a Chinese takeaway. Nothing to do with me......the family ordered it via one of those delivery companies. Easter Bank Holiday and they are doing home delivery  .
Anyway it was nice. Chicken, beef, rice and noodles.

Bin collections, takeaways open, not like the good old days when everything was closed on a bank holiday Monday. 🤔

Sod it, I’ve subscribed to TNT sports. Might just subscribe until around October then stop over the winter months. Going to watch the Boston Marathon.

I have it. Yes, a ripoff but I mainly watch sports and their coverage is very good.
Watching t20 cricket at the moment, excellent.
AND.....you can't take it with you Mo.

Spent the bulk of the night in the spare bed as granddaughter again annexed my lovely comfy spot when I got up for a pee in the night. I noticed Mrs Tkk seemed a bit precarious on her side too. On the plus side, reading Roald Dahl's " Witches " aloud was great fun as we each took turns at reading a page with as much expression as we could 😁

Funny day weather-wise today. We have: rain followed by sunshine followed by rain, then sunshine then rain........... you get the picture?
It is sunshine at the moment but the sky is still black.
I will have to take Molly for her evening walk between two black clouds.
Good timing will be required.

The village I grew up in the shops were always closed on Sundays plus a half day on Wednesday. It was just accepted as normal. None of this mad panic buying every time the shops are shut for a day.

Thursday used to half day closing where I grew up, and the only shop open on a Sunday was the paper shop until 2pm.
Strangely I note that Aldi is closed all day today.

Every shop is open down here.
