Paulus

Started young, and still going.
Location
Barnet,
Must be a lot warmer where you are! We’ll be lucky to get 11 degrees this afternoon with a chilly easterly breeze no doubt making it feel colder.

It's going to get up to around 14⁰ here this afternoon, with sunny intervals. ☀️
Our son is going to call round on his way back from work at some point, he must of heard that I am cooking loin of Pork with all the trimmings for dinner today. :hungry:
I am carrying on with the exercises and will do a couple of short sessions on the turbo. The knee has really good movement, but at times it is still a little sore, particularly after a couple of repetitions of the exercise regime, the Ice pack really helps.
I have the last of my tomato plants to pot up, the others are doing well, although it is still quite cold at night, and my potatoes are growing quite vigorously now.
Then,
I will watch the Amstel Gold bike race from the Netherlands this afternoon 🚴‍♂️,
As busy as I can be at the moment, enjoy your day everyone. :cuppa:

Happy Easter!!

not exactly sure what the plans are for today - there is some plans for going up to see SWMBO's sister and the niece is "doing the makeup" for The Wedding
and they want to try out something slightly different
2 things actually - one on each side - which might look a bit weird

so my idea of having chicken or pork roast was not met with much enthusiasm

was thinking of an early ride but it was 5 degrees outside (apparently) so I'll wait

Oh - and we have to deliver the Easter Eggs to the grand kids - we had them overnight the night before last and there were some "discussions" about acceptable behaviour at times
but they were fine in the end - I think they need to remember that the rules are more lax here - but firmer - so they can do things they normally mightbe told not to - but when they are told NO then that stays fixed
they expect to be able to push it!!!

anyway

better find that Easter Eggs before my wife wakes up!

Good morning folks. The sun has reappeared ☀️😎. I have been sleeping better since we fitted a mattress topper to the bed, it's a " Silentnight 800 " and has made a real difference. It was cheaper to buy direct from Silentnight, added a couple of pillowslips to the order to qualify for free postage and they sent two pairs😁
Granddaughter sleepover tonight as daughter is going to her language exchange café, we have an Easter egg in the fridge which hopefully granddaughter will share with grandad 😁

I love an optimist.

Good morning. A beautiful day here in Lancashire. Another shite sleep for Paul though I did manage a nap around 8.00am. What's this napping at 8.00 in the morning.

My boots are freshly waxed and then topped up with a little beeswax to give a nice sheen to the finish. Mrs P and I are off for a walk at 11.30. A relatively easy five local miles. This will be my longest walk since the RTC. The plan is to gauge how the knee reacts as we're off walking in the Lakes in ten days.

Finished watching Years and Years earlier. I hope I don't end up in that world......

I love an optimist.

Might work - one of my grandsons is not really very keen on chocolate!!
He still wants the eggs - but just has a nibble and stops

I also have a friend - 3 of us pretty much grew up together
2 of us had finished all our eggs by the end of Easter Monday

at one point when we were teenagers the other one asked if we fancied a bit of Easter Egg
In about August!!!!

the other one and I made some rather surprised exclamations (shall we say!) and he revealed that he still had 3 East Eggs left and he liked to savour them over several months
He also kept all his toy cars in their original boxes and in perfect condition

Ours were battered to Hell and back!!

he was weird (still is although his wife has sorted him out a bit!)

Just noticed 4 smartly dressed people walking around visiting the house in our street

Being Easter Sunday I am assuming something religious

never heard the bell ring

I assumed they received a message from above about "beyond redemption" or something
I mean - I know my jokes can be "variable" but that is taking it a bit far??

anyway - turns out that the ringer in the hall has been "adjusted" - probably by someone below the age of 8!!!
but we should still have heard the kitchen one so I am going with my first theory
