9° here and the weather forecast has totally changed to just occasional showers......so @PaulSB You might get your ride in.

It's a grey, damp morning here.
I'm currently listening to Tony Blackburn on the radio.
The green bin lorry will be down soon, I've renewed the collection service again for the coming year, but the council has put the price up again, it's now £100.
MrsP is off to the theatre later with MissP so it's just me, the dog and cats 🐈 for most of the day. I might pop up to the Mitre for a couple of ales 🍺to catch up with the local gossip.

Morning all. It's stopped actually raining although roads etc are soaking which coupled with a strong easterly wind will make outbound leg out to club social ride a chore and a slog. Hopefully the tailwind home makes up for it.

Good Morning. Grey and very windy which is letting the sun pop through from time to time. A dreadful sleep. Second in a row. Slept 22.00 - 01.00, awake till 04.30, then slept till 07.30.

I've binned the idea of a ride. Which is highly unusual. The decider being the route is northeast, we have an easterly at 18-30mph. No, it wouldn't be a tail wind home!!!! Stretches and weights will be my exercise today.

A day of chores then. A friend has messaged suggesting coffee at 4.00. She bailed the ride as well.

Ah. Forgot. I've watched the first four episodes of Years and Years on Netflix. An all too easy to imagine vision of the future which given recent political events is a very scary and believable scenario.

Brilliant cast. It aired on the BBC in 2019. It passed me by or I've forgotten.

The rain is just easing, we're off to the Barking Cat at lunchtime to meet up with friends ( note to self, anything over 8% stick to 1/3rds ) 😁 . Mrs Tkk has baked some cheese and onion scones, you're allowed to take your own food, except for crisps and nuts as they sell those over the bar, they also have an arrangement with the Chinese Restaurant next door who will bring your food to your table 😎.

Morning all

Weather was awful yesterday and still is. We decided to drive into Minehead to avoid a soaking and got caught in traffic. Took nearly an hour for what is normally a 20 minute trip. Apparently there was a big Christian weekend on at Butlins, for some reason, and they were expecting 6000 arriving there in the afternoon.
Beer festival at the Kildare Lodge and the band were good. 👍

I started to watch Black Mirror on Netflix. Everyone seems to rave about it. To be honest it's a mish mash of different stories none of which are very nice. I won't bother with it.
