Just got my blood sugar results
An HbA1c of 56 mmol/mol - While 56 mmol/mol is above this target, it is still within the acceptable range, meaning that blood sugar levels are generally well managed.
Easter chocolate cake next weekend then :hyper:
I've been good as cake was one of my things I gave up for lent.

We don't use our GP practice much at all apart from routine jabs and annual MOT.

But, having been 'bugged' for about a month I thought I would get in to see what was occurring so...

... in days of yor you would phone and get an appointment to see your doctor, you remember them - they knew you, you knew them, etc. They looked after your whole family.

And then the Great Pandy came and GP's went into hiding and didn't really emerge even after Covid died down.

The service was replaced by over the phone triage and prescription if necessary on the couple of times we used it. Seemed to work okay.

So, I tried to make an appointment, expecting the above, but no, you now need to fill out a triage form via a link sent to you via mobile. Upon receipt by the surgery they will decide on your 'urgency' and take things from there.

So, yesterday, I made time to complete the form but... you cannot access the form outside of the opening hours of the surgery!

A serious FFS for this absolute nonsense. :cursing:

I think you are under the miss-apprehension that the "S" in NHS means "service" 😂
