I've never been a fan of Sky and its influence on football. Tonight has confirmed this. Rovers are at home and on the telly. I think, may be wrong, this is our first Friday night home game. I'm not happy.

All day I've been thinking about my Friday 6.00 G&T. I've just realised I can't have one. Bloody Sky TV. 😡

Sigh. Time to make tea. Sausages, mash, sweet heart cabbage and onion gravy. Yummy. :hungry::hungry:

And that’s that! 32.5 years after starting I have now finished and am nominally retired. Few beers in the local tonight with former colleagues.

I am 54 years in and still working but only 3 days a week now, I enjoy it too much to pack it in.

No, I have been taking lessons off Numbnuts.
New cleaner next week then?

Mrs p will not share a bowl of chips with me.I like plenty of salt and vinegar and a good squirt of Tomato sauce

My wife won;t share a bowl with me because I eat them too fast and she gets fewer than she wants!

Weird as I am an only child and she has a sister and brother - I would have thought the competition would have caused faster eating
(was that in Cider with Rosie??)

A walk to visit a friend went askew as I found myself having to double back after taking a wrong turn. That meant I had to delay until he had finished his lunch so I popped into Lidl, and Wickes, and Home Bargains to pass the time. Came away from Lidl with a couple of bird feeders, serendipity as I needed to replace two that are in poor condition.

I have just read an article showing all the National Lottery prizes that are unclaimed

some are very - or even extremely - big

so - you never know - I might be a millionaire and not even know it!!!!!

not much point in checking as I don;t have a number to check

which is because I never buy a ticket - but I could still win

no - really - I could - if by some amazing co-incidence a random ticket falls and blows around for days and ends up blowing through out letter box
and it turns up to be a winner of a MASSIVE prize!!!

It could happen

well - OK - it isn;t likely - but the odds are effectively the same as if I had bought one
This should interest you, given the above post.
