My old Mum had a smaller version that sat on the end of the draining board.

We had a full sized one, permanently in the back yard.

Spent the morning in town visiting firstly a National Trust for Scotland tapestry exhibition, followed by the recently re-opened People’s Story Museum, which to my shame I had never visited before. Both were very good. The People’s museum is a bit of museum in itself, the information boards all stop at a current day of 1988

We visited several years ago ( the People's Story one ) and found it really interesting. Mrs Tkk has an almost uncanny knowledge of European royal families and the interrelations between them, but much prefers the stories and experiences of the common working folk throughout history.

I arrived at #2SP's house. She is asleep in the spare bed. Apparently she often won't go down in her cot. The spare bed is where Granddad is supposed to sleep. I'm hoping for a cosy cuddle.

DIL looks and sounds nackered. I've sent her to bed, she has to be up at 4.00am. I now need to find the whisky.

Nothing better than a cuddle with your granddaughter.

I see Blackburn won away, well done.
