Riverside trail done in drizzly rain, but it's raining heavy now and is to be on all day. I doubt I'll be back out.

Enough! I've had enough. Drizzling and windy. Heavy rain and winds gusting to 25mph forecast from 10.00 - 15.00. Yet another riding day abandoned. Rant done.

Good morning. How are we all? Keeping well I hope....................Paul reverts to sunny, happy disposition. I need to find a useful way to occupy the next few hours. First priority is to find my wallet. I suspect it's at Aldi. There's a pile of ironing to do so I'll crack on with that, then I have to pop out to book a venue for the club AGM and later in the year Awards Night. This afternoon I'm seeing my PT for an hour, so one way and another a useful sort of day.

Having scrammed curry in some of the best curry houses of Bradford and surrounding areas (even as far afield as Birmingham) I have to report that the Bengal Lancer in Withernsea is up there with the best of them in terms of value and taste. If you are ever 'fortunate' enough to find yourself staying in Withernsea I highly recommend.

Actually, Withensea is on my list of "possibles" for a short break with Mrs @BoldonLad, in our Motorhome, I may visit Bengal Lancer ;)

Right - I'm awake

Yesyerday was nice but a bit of a strain - SWMBO's nephew's 2 year old's birthday "do" - ina pub with a kids play place
Great large garden area - mostly grass and with 2 big bouncy castles
BUT it was chucking it down so only a few boys were out in that so all the otehr kids played in the indoor play area - next to where were were sitting
So - lots of screaming, shouting anf general high pitched loud stuff - ratehr a strain as I have trouble hearing what people say at the best of times - with loud high pitched background noise I am in trouble.
Also - the grandkids were a problme becasue their parents were totally tied up with the middle one who wanted to play but is autistic and the loud noise, lots of people and tight spaces sort was too much for him - He can generally cope but this was too much - if it hadn't been raining he would have been fine outside - less noise and more room

2 year old just ran everywhere and we just needed to keep an eye on him in case he "went exploring" - but he was fine
but all this did mean the 10 (nearly 11) year old was ratehr left out - no-one else her age and everyone tied up with siblings

food was better than expected - nice steak - and staff were great, especiallyas they were pushed due to 2 large parties at the same time!

Oh - an apparently the grandkids are coming over on to stay on Thursday night - bloomin' school holidays and all that - should be banned (which - I note - was not my way of thinking when I was a teacher!!!)

as far as having kids is concerned - as discussed above - everyone says how good I am with kids - and I do like playing and talking to them

But I seriously cannot understand why anyone wants one of their own - just a total mystery to me
I have a daughter (no contact - long story - evil partner and all that) but she was a "surprise" - I would never have suggested it or initiated the concept
Love her and all that and loved the time i had with her - but never had the slightest desire for it

I think that is more common than people think - especially in women who are "expected" to have a baby and me all maternal - which put loads of pressure on other women

anyway - enough woffling

Ita dark and raining here. Another day of slobbing. I have some curtains from my daughter that need taking up. I need to cut 10 inches off the bottom then re hem them. They are very heavy curtains. I'm working my way up to cutting them down. I need courage as once I cut them, that's it. There's no going back.

I take my hat off to you. I would not have a clue.

Years ago we would frequent the "curry mile" outside Manchester. We had some super meals there.

Night night everyone.

Wish me luck for this week . Normally I am used to one race a week, then I retire to the bar for wine.
This week I am supposed to do seven races in three days ( Wednesday to Friday) .
If this turns out to be the case, I don’t suppose I will be feeling ok/normal until this time a week Monday 😂.
Wish me luck folks . 😀

Good luck 🛥🛥🛥🛥

Measure twice cut once as Tommy Walsh says.
