Might be worth while finding out where the nearest eye casualty dept ( northampton general used to have one a few years back when my daughter was at uni in Northampton , but you had to phone first before going ), or walk in centre is .

Indeed.
Leicester sorted me out after the IOW A&E woefully let me down….after a check in Leicester, I was taken to a darkened room where the nice man played Star Wars with my eye to repair a torn retina, missed by the Island 😳

Good day. A cloudy, balmy 6⁰ is forecast and the bikes are coming out. I think we're riding to a cafe called Daily Dose in Aughton. I hope so, great coffee, good food, lovely staff.

Mentioning cafes. On Wednesday I recommended Branch 14, Radcliffe. On the off chance any of you visit the area forget my recommendation. It's gone downhill, fast. A disappointment as it was a favourite gravel ride stop.

@welsh dragon if you have to buy new keys I've found Timpsons very helpful and good value. I recently got a replacement electronic key for my Hyundai for ⅓ of the manufacturer's price. Great service.

Yesterday I finally resolved my son's financial set up. We have retained a company to manage his benefits, household expenses etc. for the longterm. I feel very comfortable with this. The cost, £15/week, can be set against charges from the local authority so it is cash neutral to him. This will take a lot of pressure off my other sons when I'm gone.

Morning folks :okay: will put some washing on the line in a while where it'll drip a bit and probably freeze solid  then later i'll go for a spin [ride not washing] and probably freeze solid...
Did some beach cleaning yesterday, a fishermans cabinet 'thing' was stuck on the rocks and was a real eyesore. It weighed a ton and had to shift it by 'ending to end' lift roll drop lift roll drop ho hum got there in the end.
Bought some knee warmers to add to my winter survival kit :okay:

. Morning all, have a ^_^ on me. Foc so nothing for you to worry about.
Cleaner has messaged me to say she will be late as her little girl (aged three I think) is in a nativity play.
Main problem is, she insists on showing me countless photos of her little girl and can't grasp my strong hints that I can only take so many photos of someone else's three year old
I will be putting the bedding in the washer shortly.
@PaulSB may I ask, how come that cafe can go so downhill in 2 days? Or am I misreading your comment.

Morning. I looked in earlier but nobody was about. Not long back a 5k shuffle and just running a bath for a nice soak now.

It’s amazing how different running shoes are. I thought it wasn’t as cold so stuck a pair of New Balance on but almost as soon as I went out I could feel my feet slipping on the pavement where it was still frosty so returned for my Asics. They are so much better.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
A damp day is forecast.
The normal dog walk first thing, followed by an attempt to replace the lense and bulb in the wing mirror indicator.
I've had the email from the pharmacy that my meds are ready to collect, so I'll go up there at some point.
Then, there is a meeting of the escape committee this afternoon at the Railway Bell.
Another busy day in paradise. :cuppa:

@Dave7 yes, a small misunderstanding. I meant that when I visited on Wednesday I felt the cafe had gone downhill since I was last there in the spring. One of my buddies wondered if it had changed hands.

Great shame as it was a destination for us. We have several gravel routes from home to the Radcliffe area, quite a distance, that we've built around stopping at Branch 14. Great routes though, we will find another cafe.
