08.55 and all the housework is done, 4 beds made, yesterday's laundry put away, everywhere hoovered, grand kids walked to school, bin brought in. Exciting innit

Now what ?

Say hello to the mayor for me. Old friend of me and Tom.

Will do 😁 We will probably pop in to the Convivial Rabbit if we have time, a quirky little pub hidden down an alley way. They serve ales from smaller breweries. Here's an IPA we sampled a while ago. Despite the appearance it tasted really good ( the barman wouldn't pour us a pint until we had tasted a sample.)

I can't drink 'cloudy' beer. The appearance affects my mind set.
I had a mate who loved the German weiss beer, I just couldn't drink it.

Hello

Just come back from a blood test - followed by Tesco

got to the blood test at 9 for a 9:05 appointment

just after I got there an older bloke came in and immediately started moaning
apparently "they are always late"
and "It is always like this - we could be here for ages"
and the counsel were also to blame because of the roadworks near his house

anyway - this went on a bit and I just ignored him

when the nurses arrived - as usual they come out every 10-15 minutes and check people off on the list and take them into the room for the test

anyway - turns out his appointment was for 9:00 -i.e. before mine but he arrived after that

and all the way down the corridor he was "joking" with the nurse about how they were running late becuase "I know you lot - you always insist on that second cup of tea"
hah ha and all that

They start at 8 so they had already been working for an hour

and I was done and out of the building by 9:13 so he was being seen before then - which is not exactly "being here all day"

Honestly - some people are just professional moaners and seem to just want to bring everyone down to their level

can;t cope with people like that!!!

the "wedding of the Year" is happening next year - daughter-in-law
she decided to name the day when her younger sister booked her wedding and she was dammed if her sister was getting married first!!!

Anyway - apparently a "hen night" is being planned - it involves and overnight stay
so naturally my wife - as the groom's Mum - is invited - I am not
she has just found out that that there is a cowboy theme

her face was a picture - not impressed!!!

anyway - so far I have managed to avoid any humorous comments about cows - not sure how long that will continue!!!

Tyson slapped Jake Paul at the weigh in.

Tyson is in great shape and clearly in a suitably aggressive frame of kind for the fight. I wonder if Paul has bitten off more than he can chew here?

My idea is not to risk upsetting someone (particularly the female of the species) who is about to stick a needle in you 😊

My money's on Tyson.

Just got back from the Crown Inn on the square in Wells. We only went in 'for the greater good'.
Nice, but pricey, lunch. :okay:

The pundits tend to favour Paul, but boxers (of which I was one briefly - a crap one) tend to be favouring Tyson.

Tysons aces were always his sheer aggression and power, and it looks like he still has it in spades. If he can unload quickly and stop it getting into a drawn out fight then he's negated Paul's potential main advantage.

Either way, I'm sitting up to watch this.
