I am awake, but not quite up yet. I am off to shoot some clay out of the sky today.

Good morning. Once again I have been awake too long. I will try to doze again. I have a skip arriving at 10.00 - have you seen the price of skips??? Gobsmacked when I booked. £180 for the smallest. Shed demolition begins tomorrow, fingers crossed my sons turn up to help the old man as promised.

I have a skip problem. I have seen my eldest fill a skip when he was working on his house. Now there are ways to fill a skip to maximise it's capacity. My son doesn't appreciate this. Bricks etc. should be stacked. Lobbing everything in wastes space. I think this will be an interesting conversation with a lot of eye rolling from my lad!

The rest of the day? There's a u3a talk I may go to. That depends on a phone call from the LBS. It could be new bike day if the build is complete. This would be excellent news. If it is ready I need to book a bike fit with my mate John the Bike Fitter. He has the most incredible gear for this work. I heard sad news from my LBS yesterday. The main mechanic who has put hundreds of hours into my bikes has kidney cancer. Five year survival rate is 80%. He's only a young man, to us. Life is shite.

Tea will be leek, mushroom and thyme sauce with spaghetti. It's a Paul signature dish for busy days.

Morning all :hello: (can I say that?)

Waking up in the City of Wells this morning.
Will be meeting our mates from Cheddar at lunchtime and then watching the carnival procession this evening.
Treating myself to a full indigenous breakfast at the B&B in an hours time. :hungry:

Barnet,
Good morning all.
My last physio appointment this morning,, I think it had helped strengthen the muscles around my knees, it's a bit like circuit training but in a controlled situation. I am doing the exercises at home, as well as riding the bike, maybe I need to do some more hill work, not hard aa it is quite hilly around here.
There is the normal escape committee meeting this afternoon, but at the Mitre as one of the members is bringing his dog today, and the Mitre is dog friendly.

I've opened the curtains. I'm considering closing them again and hibernating. What a miserable day. Everything is damp, greyish mist and cloud, very fine drizzle. Yuk.

One more cup of coffee before I go.........to the kitchen to sweat leeks and mushrooms. Once my leeks and mushrooms are sweating I will join in........exercise time.

Salut. Last day of invigilating today until next month.
We have the same set of pupils for each exam ( mocks at the moment) and I must read the rules and regulations of the exam every time so they know them by heart now. I offered to read them in French for a change and it made them laugh.
Proper exams starts in December.
