Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
In the end we settled for new potatoes and peas. I'm not a huge fan of mashed potatoes probably because I ate so much of the dam stuff when i was a kid.

When Margaret arrived we had a cuppa and a blether then walked along to the cafe for rolls with egg and black pudding and a pot of tea for lunch. We are going out at 6 for a meal tonight too. I will just have a main course.

Salut. Was up at 6.10am to get ready for the Bike Chester Sportive. I was back home by 1.30 pm after a coffee stop at my son's. I now have another medal to add to my collection. It rained a bit at the start and the end of the ride and also managed to lose my raincoat when I put it in my back pocket. It must have dropped out. At least, I hope it will benefit whoever finds it.

Just back from a pleasant meal. I had the steak pie with confit potatoes and roasted veg and a fresh orange. Generous helping so I am nicely full. Just having a cuppa now and that will do me.
I just had a bag of crisps, ready salted.

I know I say things like that, but it is always nice to see them. They tend to drop in, eat anything they can get their hands on then bugger off again.
