Me being me decided that brute force wins every time and walked out the shop with some 20x70 monsters. Just need to find something interesting in the distance to look at now.

8x is really ideal for hand held. Much higher and you get hand shake.

I got a relative some 50x90 some years ago. Saved him going up the hill if he could see from the house.

Would you know what would be a good strength for a telescope for bird watching type of thing, nothing huge. I back onto miles of open fields and wanted something to keep on the window sill. Thanks.
