I have had a real bad day, it should have been our 50th anniversary today, unfortunately Pam passed away less than 6 weeks ago, my soul mate, we got married at 17 and 18, had laughs every day, expect to see more of me as I certainly have too much spare time now.

So sorry to hear of your sad news.

Morning all

Back home now in sunny Somerset.
Had an uneventful tow back from Cornwall yesterday until I got the van on the drive and found that the motor mover had decided to pack up. The handset isn't powering up. Anyway, we managed to get the van onto its standing place with the help of a neighbour.
New handset ordered. More expense!
Lawns to cut this morning.

Me and the ever sexy Mrs D nipped over to Gasoline Juice for a coffee and hot dog. Returned to find my Mini had two new friends.

You may not be aware but my wife/soul mate of 54 years passed away in June. It hurts, every day.
You were very helpful to me when on here and gave me some good advice.so I am pleased to see you back but not in your situation.look after yourself.

A TV sports day awaits. I enjoy the start (maybe one hour) of the marathon then pop back to see how it's goingl
There is football and golf to keep up with.

I have run out of bread so will wander round to Aldi. Doesn't open until 9 on Sundays. Just be nice time to get back for the start of the women's elite runners setting off at 9.25. Men set off at 10 I think.

Since Sue passed away I get very emotional over things, be they happy or sad.
I am already shedding tears while they are interviewing the marathon entrants and their reasons for entering.
