My daughter had 3 labs. One had to be put to sleep 18 months ago. The second oldest one is completely blind with cataracts and is a bit on the portly side but her tail is always wagging and she doesn't have any trouble finding her way round the house and the youngest is about 7 now and she is a total lunatic.

One of the reasons we never had pets.
We kept fish for 30+ years but its not the same when they die ^_^

As you know I was heartbroken when I lost my boy Lemmy, but fate is a funny thing. If Lemmy hadn't gone to rainbow bridge then I wouldn't have my soft lad Bruce.

Just swallow it whole.....nice if its still wriggling .
Point of order, if it were dead it shouldn't be wriggling!

I want to get up and fetch my book, but Bruce has other ideas.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

I know what you mean. I was so upset when my cat and dog died that I never had another pet after that. Once my daughters 2 labs pass, she will never have another one either. Not after the first one went.

Dam things, just when you get used to having them around they dam well die on you.

Even although Molly is just 7, I am already absolutely dreading the day I will lose her. I’ve never felt so close to any of my pets as I do to her.
