I see it's all quiet on the home front.

Has Welsh Dragon shopped too much,
has Mo been caught on a H.W.W.,
has Dave7 snuck down to numbnuts, has numbnuts passed Dave7 as they passed each other, without realising.

These questions and more will be answered sometime...

Hopefully!

Mrs Tkk and I have been travelling. Left Alnmouth on the 11:00 train and got indoors just before 6:00pm. Black bin day tomorrow, walking group followed by pub, veg box delivery sometime in the morning, plus I've just ordered a new MacBook which may well arrive tomorrow too.

It's taken me nearly as long as that to get to Liverpool by train.
On the bike it was a touch over three hours.
Couldn't your walking group have done a pub crawl?

G'day Cobbers..........which reminds me, who was it that was based in Australia? A regular poster but just cannot recall who it was.
Off out shopping today, oh joy of joys. Daughter is picking me up around 11.00.
Has to be done as I need a new washer dryer to replace my separate machines.
I also need new furniture for the flat lounge. What I have at present is 2 armchairs but they are really way too big (they came from my main lounge which is quite big)
We are then going to the local Tobey carvery.......not been there for quite a few years.

I see AEG do a combined Heat Pump washer dryer which is very efficient. Mrs Tkk and I get frequent emails with offers from Toby, it's really good if you're a veggie as you can just load up on veg with Yorkshires and cauliflower cheese etc. ( they do a couple of veggie mains but they're not very impressive) A friend of ours visits weekly and she's noticed that everything gets refreshed after the lunchtime rush so she visits about 2pm when it's quieter. 👍

Barnet,
Good morning all.
Quite a bright start to the day, but I can see dark clouds to the west. More rain is coming. :rain: :rain::rain:
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies and essentials between 9 and 10, then MrsP goes to her pilates class and I go for a long walk with the dog.
My watch battery gave up yesterday, so I bought a new one. I got the back off easily enough, but could I get it back on, no I couldn't. I know that places that replace batteries use a press to put the backs back on. Had anyone ever used one? I can get one for £14, the last time a battery was replaced for me cost £15, including the battery. Batteries cost £2 ish.

Mini D still poorly, so keeping her home. She's coughing like a 60 a day Jan, and is as pale as you like. Thank heavens for Covonia.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Morning all. It’s lovely sunny day here in Coventry at the moment but rain is on its way by lunch time . Think I will run the lawn mower over the back lawn while it’s dry as the forecast is for showers all week.
Have a good day everyone.

Talking of people that no longer post , did we ever find out why Dave r left ?

Daughter is a veggie so it suit her.

I am far from technical but a quick Google search said that heat pump machines are not as good for a number of reasons..... I will check that out again.
Thanks.

I changed to a heat pump drier when my condensing one went. I have some issues, although they say it uses about half of the energy of a standard drier, it seems to take a lot longer to dry, the inside of the drum never seems to get hot, just slightly warm. I'm not certain I would buy another one when this one packs in (probably the day after the warranty expires).
