Now, don't laugh. I caught the sun yesterday and have a touch of sunstroke this morning. That's what six hours on a bike does.

I see Garmin have kicked up a bit of a stir with customers over introducing a Connect Plus subscription. £6.99 for mostly worthless AI stuff. No way I would pay for it. Their devices are already expensive enough. If they start reducing what we get for free on the existing app, I will be off to Coros when I fancy a new device.

I watched Ray Maker's take on it, and all the comments on his video. Almost universal condemnation, if you charge a premium for a device then all the functionality should come with it, if you are going to charge a monthly subscription then that should be reflected in the price.
There's several viable alternatives out there. I will plod along ( literally 😁 ) with my Forerunner 255, and see what the options are when it eventually needs replacing. I have been in the Garmin ecosystem for decades, but needs must.
Are you still using your Apple Watch Ultra Mo? Be interested to hear your take on the different devices you have.

I won't be paying for that.

I'm considering cancelling Strava and a number of other American subscriptions. I've already stopped using Amazon and buying anything I can identify as from the USA.

This is my tiny protest against Trump. I have many good friends in the States. I've asked them how this makes them feel. All have replied to the effect it's the best thing you can do to help us. That's rather sad.

I feel the same way as you regarding buying anything from an American company, or produced in the USA. We had better be a bit careful on this subject in the retirement forum though.

Morning all :hello:

Lawns to cut this morning and then I'll be in my workshop wiring up the Bantam.
A mate of mine has expressed an interest in buying it when I've finished.

Busy day today

off for blood test in a minute

then dentists (again) at 12:10

tomorrow and Saturday should be interesting -
tomorrow we have to go to wait in until the middle grandkids gets home on the bus from his Special School
and Saturday we have the kids all day - all 3 of them - and have to take them back in the afternoon

They live just down the road from Aintree race course

which just MIGHT be a bit confused this weekend due to some people watching big donkeys running around some grass

Hence the Police close roads
but apparently you are OK if you live in the road - which we don;t

no idea what will happen

we shall see

I couldn’t eat them. I have a bizarre phobia. I hate looking at things covered in holes.

We suffer from the same condition I think Mo - we have mentioned it before.

I have to eat crumpets without looking at them.

The worst thing for me to look at is all those stacked seeds inside peppers - literally make me want to vomit.

And all those little holes on strawberries - ugh!

And 'frondy' things, can't bear them!

Due 17°C today.

Have a good day all.

All part of Trypophobia.
