Food likes and dislikes are strange aren't they.
I have never (and never will) eat black pudding or tripe.
As a kid my family was poor. Saturday night would often be a sheep's head. The full head on the table, we ate the brain, tongue and all the flesh, euk.

Mrs @BoldonLad used to be a really picky eater. Don’t really know why, because she was 1 of 10 kids, and, the feral rule was “get to table first, in case there is not enough”. Now, she has developed Alzheimer’s, and cannot remember what she likes or doesn’t like. I have managed to get her to quite happily eat several things, which, she formerly insisted she didn’t like. Still cannot get her to eat any form of fish or seafood.

@Mo1959 I know you did your first bike ride the other day after a long break. How did it go for you?

The reason I ask is that I finally got out today after an extremely long break (since my knee injury last summer) and I was astonished how slow I was.

It was cold and windy but my average speed over the course (17.84 miles and 1092' ascent) was only 9.8mph!!! And the last couple of miles was a real slog. I also spent 30 mins approx' in Z5 which is pretty telling.

Happy that I finally got out and that my long-standing knee injury and, more recent, shoulder injury did not play up. Although for some reason my forearms hurt!

I have been active all winter (working around the shoulder injury) on the turbo, treadmill and multi-gym and I am wondering how much they contributed to today's performance? How bad would it have been if I hadn't done all that exercise?

I have planned a 20-miler for Thurs and will see how I get on.

Maybe I was expecting too much at my age and a long lay-off.

I didn’t find it too bad, although I was just taking it easy. I used my Enduro on my wrist to record it, so the fact that it was tucked under the sleeve of my jacket meant I couldn’t see what speed I was averaging which was quite good. Nothing worse than staring at the computer on the handlebars telling you how slow you are! It’s actually my neck that’s feeling it slightly today.

Thanks

not sure those dresses are in my size

I think that maybe me turning up to The Wedding wearing a while slip dress might be thought as distracting attention from the Bride
maybe???

I will inform my wife but as we are off out for dinner for her birthday in a bit and after that the auction will be over

the price reduction does say a lot about the price markup on dresses!

Head wear on the last page.

You'd never know unless you tried.

Just been out shopping

SWMBO is very fussy abotu bread (and otehr things - there is a list!!) and like it very fresh

which is a problem as I don;t eat normal bread anymore
so I have been getting her Warbutons Toastie - the small version
but she keeps complaining that it feels and tastes stale when she is about half way through it

so I thought we could try M&S and see if they have one that might last better and the same size

to my surprise their normal white bread is actually cheaper than Warburtons from Tesco

which feels weird

so we now have a list of thing we get from M&S

Posh or WHAT!!!

We always put bread in the freezer we don’t eat a lot of bread so it keeps well in the freezer.

Yes - I get my bread in lots of 6 at a time - as it is on prescription
and I put them all in the freezer and I am fine with that

My wife is very sensitive to taste at such like and if bread has been frozen and defrosted then it seems stale to her
which is a problem - if I could freeze it them I would but she is a pain it won;t work for her

anyway - seems like she likes the M&S bread - first I have found that she prefers to Warbutons as normal day-to-day bread
and it's cheaper!!

It never tastes the same out of a freezer.
