The realisation you're getting old

I have been arriving at work earlier as I get older. It used to be that the best spots were always taken when I got there. Last couple of weeks, I've been getting the best spots. It turns out the two people who used to get to work before me and got those spots have retired. I reckon I'm next.

I went to my local Deichmann's to buy a pair of shoes. The had about a dozen pairs of shoes and a few hundred pairs of trainers.

Last night I went to a British Legion for the first time.

I worked through uni (60 years ago) cleaning and polishing the dance room floors in a BL club on a Sunday morning. Not too edifying.

Then it was off by bike across town to do the local TV studio. But not before 10:00. They were artistes and needed to clear up. Less edifying.
