Interior of 555021, the first new T & W Metro train in service, taken last Monday. They're much quieter and smoother than the old units and the information displays are excellent, letting you know exactly where you are at any time. I'm not convinced about the new seating layout though, with only side seats rather than the previous mix of side & facing seats arrangement. There aren't any grab rails / straps running along the length of the carriages either, so less to get hold of when they (inevitably) get busy. No view out of the front anymore either :sad:.

A shonky phone photo, taken of a moving train, from a moving Metro ~ 60056 Great Gable (a name recycled from one of the original Class 44 'Peaks'), near Northumberland Park station where the freight line diverges from the Metro line. I'm assuming it's taking biomass empties back to Blyth.
