Talking to a self proclaimed 'Marxist/anti royalist' woman today, she said that the Queen died years ago and the one ('object' in her words) we now see is a clone. She also said that earth is flat and controlled by satanic lizards who live underground in the North Pole......or was it Greenland? 🤔

They live amongst us... 😑

The weather, here in Hamtun, looks quite good for today and tomorrow, but 'changeable' for the weekend.

did she have a theory on why the succession didn't just kick in?
sounds easier than building a clone.

Maybe it's a regional thing, but north of the border we don't seem to be making much (any!) fuss over the jubilee. My work goes on as normal, and the 2 days holiday are lumped in with annual leave.
Haven't heard of any street parties going on anywhere. Just another bank holiday weekend for everyone. I won't be doing anything, and I count myself as a pro royal.

Can YOU spot the hidden Corgi? Jubilee-inspired brainteaser features the Queen's favourite pet - and it takes the average person two minutes to find her

Won't be doing anything different, 42 miles in the sun this morning will be the highlight of today.

I don't mind the Queen and the history of it all, but its a bit OTT now a days, with all the privileged hangers on, the wife informed me the other day Prince Charles has four houses, I know a few people with none.

its barely past lunch time on day one of the celebrations and I'm tired of hearing about it already

The earth can't be flat. Else cats would've knocked everything off the edge...

There's an anniversary wooden seat that's appeared in the park this morning, I'd wondered what the curious patch of new concrete had been for.

There's one up the RH Bishop's cassock, one up the stripey blouse of the lady on the far right and one up the blue smock of the lady with the Union Jack cape on. Possibly one inside the fat blue pigeon too.

Do I get a prize? ^_^

Today I was observing the Jubilee in the time honoured way by Doing Something Else. While out in a ride I noticed a couple of villages had created ‘installations‘ to celebrate. They were all crap, but this one from the village of Lasham between Basingstoke and Alton is truly terrifying. WTF are you on Lasham!?
